UBSE Class 10 Syllabus 2026-27: Uttarakhand Board High School Syllabus PDF
The Uttarakhand Board (UBSE) syllabus for Class 10 in 2026-27 is the same as in 2025-26. The board said so in its letter of 2 April 2026 (PDF), which also asks subject teachers to cover any syllabus topic that is missing from the prescribed textbook. How the 20 Internal Marks Are Given
In every main subject except Home Science, 20 of the 100 marks are internal. Five of them are always for continuous assessment: in Class 10 the school holds three unit tests and one pre-board exam, and the best of the three unit tests counts for the board result. The other 15 marks depend on the subject:
- Maths: two activities (10 marks) and one project (5 marks).
- Social Science: assignments (10 marks) and project work (5 marks).
- English and Sanskrit: listening (4), speaking (4) and project (7).
- Languages: in the listening test the examiner reads a passage of about 200 words aloud, and students answer questions on a separate sheet.
Question Paper Pattern
In the language papers, 20% of the marks (16 of 80) are objective questions, and 8 of those marks must be multiple choice. UBSE Class 10 Mathematics Syllabus 2026-27
Class 10 Maths has seven units. Algebra carries the most marks (20), followed by Geometry (15) and Trigonometry (12).

UBSE Class 10 Science Syllabus 2026-27
Class 10 Science has five units. Chemical Substances and World of Living carry 25 marks each, so these two units alone make up 50 of the 80 theory marks.

UBSE Class 10 Social Science Syllabus 2026-27
Class 10 Social Science has five units: History 20, Geography 18, Political Science 18, Economics 16 and Disaster Management 8. Disaster Management is Uttarakhand’s own unit, with topics such as the Silkyara rescue and cyber safety in disasters.

UBSE Class 10 Hindi Syllabus 2026-27
The UBSE Class 10 Hindi paper is not Hindi alone: its 80 theory marks are Hindi 56 and compulsory Sanskrit 24. The Hindi part uses the NCERT books Kshitij Bhag-2 and Kritika Bhag-2; the Sanskrit part uses Sanskrit Sambodhini.

UBSE Class 10 Sanskrit Syllabus 2026-27
Students who take Sanskrit as a full subject study the NCERT book Shemushi Dwitiya Bhag, with Vyakaranavithi for grammar. This is separate from the 24-mark Sanskrit part inside the Hindi paper.

Home Science is the one main subject with a different split: 70 marks theory and 30 marks internal. The Class 10 syllabus has eleven units, from child development to clothing care; clothing care carries the most marks (12).
