Staff Selection Commission – Combined Graduate Level Examination, often referred to as SSC CGL, is an examination conducted to recruit staff to various posts in ministries, departments and organisations of the Government of India. It is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission for selecting staff for various Group B and Group C posts and is one of the most sought-after exams.
The SSC CGL Exam is conducted in 4 stages, and each stage has a different exam pattern. The SSC CGL Exam pattern is as follows:
Tier-I Exam includes General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension.
Tier-II Exam includes Quantitative Abilities, English Language and Comprehension, Statistics and General Studies in Finance and Economics.
Tier-III Exam includes Descriptive Paper in Hindi/English (Essay, Letter, applications, precis writing)
Tier-IV Exam evaluates the Computer Proficiency Test/ Skill Test of candidates. The Data Entry Speed Test Skill Test will be conducted for a passage of about 2000 key depressions for a duration of 15 minutes.
