1. How was grandmother convinced to keep Tutu as pet ?
Answer: Grandmother was convinced to keep tutu as a pet as she wanted a girl in the house as she believed that girls are less troublesome than boys. When she came to know that Tutu was a little girl monkey, she was convinced to keep her as a pet.
2. Why did the narrator follow Aunt Ruby and Rocky secretly to the jeweler’s shop? What reason did Tutu have for following them?
Answer. Aunt Ruby did not want to take along the narrator for shopping therefore the narrator secretly followed them. When Tutu came to know that something important was going to happen, she decided to follow the narrator.
3. Why did the people in Bazzar chase Tutu?
Answer. The people in bazaar chase tutu because she had stolen a necklace from jewelry shop.
4. What did Tutu do with the necklace? How was it restored to the shopkeeper?
Answer. Tutu did not want to own the necklace so she decided to rid herself of the necklace. Suddenly she removed it from her neck and plunged the necklace into the canal. Several people like Rocky, Shopkeeper, and narrator plunged into the canal. Finally, Rocky founded the necklace from the canal and returned it to the shopkeeper.
5. Why do you think some guests were not seen for several days after the marriage?
Answer. Tutu had added red chilli sauce, bitter gourd seeds, and eggshells in the wedding cake. The guests must have fallen ill after eating that cake and were not seen for several days.

Dear Diary
What a tiresome day I had today! A well-built man and woman entered my shop and asked me to show some diamond rings, while they began to see the rings, a monkey came inside the shop without being noticed by anyone she took a pearl necklace and wore it around her neck and ran away with it to the market crowd. I chased the monkey and many people joined the chase. Finally, the monkey threw the necklace into the canal. I jumped into the canal along with the man and several other people. After some time the man shouted that he got back the necklace and handed it to me. It was a very exciting day. With a lot of difficulties, I got back my necklace.
