Fundamental Rule 24

Fundamental rule 24 is related to increment by which increment of government servant can be withdrawn if government finds that the work done by the central government employees is not satisfactory.

Fundamental Rule 24 : An increment shall ordinarily be drawn as a matter of course unless it is withheld. An increment may be withheld from a Government servant by the Central Government or by any authority to whom the Central Government may delegate this power under Rule 6, if his conduct has not been good or his work has not been satisfactory. In the withholding of an increment, the withholding authority shall state the period for which it is withheld, and whether the postponement shall have the effect of postponing future increments.

वेतनवृद्धि सामान्यत: निश्चित रूप से तब तक आहरित की जाएगी जब तक कि इसे रोक न दिया जाए। किसी सरकारी कर्मचारी की वेतनवृद्धि को केंद्र सरकार या किसी ऐसे प्राधिकारी द्वारा रोका जा सकता है, जिसे केंद्र सरकार नियम 6 के तहत इस शक्ति को प्रत्यायोजित कर सकती है, यदि उसका आचरण अच्छा नहीं रहा है या उसका कार्य संतोषजनक नहीं रहा है। किसी वेतन वृद्धि को रोकने में, विद्होल्डिंग प्राधिकारी उस अवधि का उल्लेख करेगा जिसके लिए इसे रोका गया है, और क्या स्थगन का भविष्य की वेतन वृद्धि को स्थगित करने का प्रभाव होगा
