FAQ

Why did Baba Bharti ask dacoit Kharag Singh not to tell anyone about how he stole the horse?
Baba Bharti feared that if people learned how a dacoit disguised himself as a helpless cripple to cheat a kind helper, society would lose trust in the poor and stop helping genuinely needy people.

Why is the story titled ‘Haar Ki Jeet’ (Victory in Defeat)?
Although Baba Bharti initially lost his beloved horse Sultan to Kharag Singh’s trickery, his noble compassion transformed the dacoit’s heart and won back the horse without force—turning defeat into a moral victory.
